FREE (Flow-aware Reflective Evolution Echo) is a Python runtime for developers, independent operators, and small automation businesses. You run it on a machine you control. You supply the model, the host, and the accounts. The seller's servers are not part of the purchase.
It is one package: a job runner, a schedule, a browser page, a desktop portal, health reporting, a constitution that can allow or refuse an action, model-bridge code, deployment examples, and tests.
What's included
Job execution and scheduling A runner for repeatable tasks. You bring the scripts, tools, and integrations. One operator can hang many jobs on it: checks, reports, exceptions, and work waiting for a person.
Browser and desktop A browser page served by the runtime on your machine, and a separate PyQt6 desktop. The desktop signs an operator in and opens the Operator and Workspace decks. Start it with launch_portal.bat after installing the desktop dependencies. It is Python source, not a prebuilt Operator-Desktop.exe. The API installs separately, so the server can run without the desktop.
Health and integrity Health reports whether the service is up, and the build string identifies the archive. Integrity checks that the constitution file matches its hash and a signature the process can read. That check does not certify the rules, and it does not mean every action in the tree consults the same gate. No penetration test, soak test, or production certification is included.
Constitution The charter lists actions that are allowed, actions that require confirmation, actions that require dual control, and actions that are forbidden. The signature in the archive is unsigned. You create your own signing key and sign the charter you adopt. Edit the file without signing it again, and the gate closes.
Model Model-bridge code is included. The boot does not attach a model. You connect your own.
Code, deploy, and tests Runtime modules, phone and mobile source, example web-server configs with the seller's addresses removed, and tests you can read and run.
What you can build
Scheduled monitoring, operational reports, data processing, maintenance tasks, exception detection, and results prepared for a person to review. Those are your jobs. FREE is the foundation they run on.
Your customers can pay you for the result. They do not receive this source, this license, or a copy of the runtime to install. Copyright stays with Martin Gettig. The same archive can be licensed again. Support, hosting, keys, and a customer list are not included.
The archive does not prove high job volume, separate tenants, or unattended recovery.
FAQ
- What accounts or services do I need to set up myself?
- You supply the machine it runs on, the AI model you want to connect, and any third-party accounts your jobs need (databases, APIs, monitoring tools). The runtime includes model-bridge code, but you wire in your own model. The seller's servers are not involved.
- What is the stack?
- Python. The desktop is PyQt6. You get the source code, not a compiled binary, so you need Python installed and the ability to run and modify Python scripts.
- How do I get it running?
- Install the Python dependencies, then run launch_portal.bat to start the desktop. The API server runs separately if you want to skip the desktop. Example deployment configs are included.
- What level of documentation and support comes with this?
- Basic documentation is included. No ongoing support or maintenance is provided. You get the source, tests you can read and run, and example configs to learn from.
- Can I sell software or services built on this to my customers?
- Yes. Your customers pay you for the results your jobs produce. They do not get the runtime source, this license, or a copy to install themselves. Copyright stays with the seller, and the same archive can be licensed to others.
