Description
QueueDoctor — Find Stalled Jobs and Repeated Failures
QueueDoctor reads job records and separates confirmed failures from jobs that may be stuck.
Quick start
Unpack the ZIP and run:
python queuedoctor.py sample/jobs.json
What it reports
- Suspected stalls: A pending, queued, or running job older than the configured stall window. A suspected stall is not a confirmed failure.
- Confirmed failures: A record with
statusset tofailed, orokset tofalse. - Repeated failures: The same job ID appearing in multiple confirmed failures.
- Incomplete records: A job with no status is not classified as a stall simply because its timestamp is old.
FREE runtime compatibility
QueueDoctor can also read a FREE status file containing a jobs_run array. An entry with ok: false is reported as a confirmed failure. Because that file does not provide pending-job age, QueueDoctor does not classify its entries as stalled based on age.
What's included

QueueDoctor is built from code developed for the Voxryn FREE runtime and is sold under its own license. This purchase does not include the FREE runtime.
FAQ
- Is an old timestamp a stalled job?
- No. A timestamp with no status is reported as insufficient. A suspected stall is a pending, queued, or running job older than the window you set, and the report says it is not a confirmed failure.
- What counts as a confirmed failure?
- A record that already says failed, or ok set to false. The same id failing twice is a repeated failure.
