Reprise is a local-first recovery and compatibility control plane for changing backends. It models deployments, schema, functions, storage contracts, auth, configuration, and dependencies as evidence-backed historical state. It chooses a mutually compatible recovery candidate, verifies it in isolation, and refuses unsafe promotion by default.

What do I need to run this?: Reprise is Node.js. You run it locally against your own infrastructure. There are no external service dependencies or accounts required to get started.
What is this for?: Reprise tracks your deployment state, schema, functions, storage, auth, and configuration as historical records. When you change backends, it finds a compatible recovery path, tests it in isolation, and blocks unsafe changes by default.
What documentation is included?: Basic documentation is included. You will have enough to understand the core concepts and get it running, but not exhaustive guides for every use case.
Will this be maintained?: No. This is a one-time release. You own the code and can modify it, but there will be no updates or bug fixes from the Builder.
