Description
Overview
WhatsDesk combines a customer support inbox with client, service, and appointment management for small service businesses. English is the default language; buyers can switch the interface to Brazilian Portuguese (PT-BR) inside the app.
Included features
- Support inbox with fictional sample conversations for the demo.
- Self-hosted Node.js adapter for the WhatsApp Business Cloud API: send text replies and receive incoming text messages through a webhook that verifies Meta signatures.
- Optional keyword-triggered replies. This is disabled by default and only runs when the operator enables AUTO_REPLY_ENABLED on the server.
- Client, service, and appointment records, appointment statuses, and reviewed WhatsApp reminder links. Reminder links open a draft in WhatsApp; the operator reviews and sends them.
- English-first responsive interface and selectable PT-BR translation.
- Security regression tests, local API/webhook integration tests, .env example, and setup documentation.
Demo
The linked public demo is static and uses fictional conversations. Inbox replies are simulated; the demo does not connect to WhatsApp or send messages. No customer records, usage metrics, revenue, or connected business account are represented.
Setup and requirements
Node.js 18 or newer. Run the included server, then configure a buyer-owned WhatsApp Business account, Meta developer app, phone number ID, access token, app secret, verification token, public HTTPS webhook, and a long random admin key. Buyer-owned Meta accounts, approvals, phone numbers, credentials, hosting, and operating costs are not included.
Data and deployment
Client, service, appointment, and demo records are saved in the current browser. Connected WhatsApp message history is saved as JSON in the buyer's server data folder and is not encrypted at rest by this starter. The admin key is a shared secret, not a multi-user identity system. Use private HTTPS hosting and add account-based access, rate limits, encrypted backups, and retention controls before handling real customer data with multiple operators. Follow WhatsApp consent, opt-out, template, and messaging policies.
Commercial scope
US$29 one-time, non-exclusive commercial source-code license under the marketplace's terms. Copyright stays with the seller. This is self-hosted source code, not a hosted SaaS. No live WhatsApp connection, Meta account, recurring service, customer base, or ongoing maintenance is included. The product is pre-revenue; no user or sales claims are made.
FAQ
- What do I need to connect WhatsApp?
- Bring your own WhatsApp Business account, Meta developer app, phone number, access token, app secret, and webhook verification token. Configure them on a Node.js 18+ server, publish an HTTPS webhook, and protect the server admin key. No Meta account or credentials are included.
- Does the demo send real WhatsApp messages?
- No. The live demo uses fictional conversations and simulates replies. With your own Meta credentials configured on your server, an authorized operator can send text replies from the inbox. Keyword replies remain off until AUTO_REPLY_ENABLED=true.
- Where is business data stored?
- Client, service, appointment, and demo records stay in the current browser. When connected, WhatsApp message history is stored as JSON in your server data folder and is not encrypted at rest by this starter. Use private HTTPS hosting, backups, retention controls, and account-based access before using real customer data with multiple operators.
- What is included in the source license?
- The source archive includes the English-first app with PT-BR selection, Node.js Cloud API adapter, signed webhook receiver, keyword reply rules, local security regression tests, local API/webhook integration tests, .env example, and setup documentation. This is self-hosted source code, not a hosted SaaS.
